Zamosc - Renaissance city - fortress (Lublin Region)
The Old Town complex (16th/17th cc.) is placed on UNESCO's World Heritage list. The city's urban layout was designed to copy the plans of an ideal Italian urban pattern. Zomosc is the best-preserved Renaissance town in Poland. It has retained its attic-topped burgher houses, magnificent town hall, churches, and fortifications from the 16th and 19th centuries.
