Where to Stay
At the Poland Travel Ministry we offer hotel accommodations from deluxe to budget, listed below are the kinds of accommodations you can expect to find available in Poland.

Poland HotelHotels
Hotels in Poland are classified according to a star system ranging from one to five, but there are also non-classified hotels. Some of them belong to international hotel chains: Accor S.A., Bass Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn, Marriott, Novotel, Radisson and Sheraton. The largest Polish hotel chain is Orbis S.A. The standard of accommodation varies a great deal. It ranges from top end, modern and luxurious hotels, to middle and bottom end, cheap and modest lodgings. Room prices usually include breakfast. It is better to book in advance during the high summer season (July, August) in big cities and tourist resorts.

Poland Castle HotelHistorical Accommodations
Certain historical buildings in Poland (palaces, castles, country manors) are operated as hotels. They are usually situated in areas attractive for tourists. Many of them are found in the regions of Pomerania, Wielkopolska, Silesia, Malopolska and Mazovia. Rooms are well-furnished and kept in the original style. Their greatest advantage is location - away from the city noise and in the middle of old parks. Excellent dishes of Polish cuisine are served. Many of them have facilities for the organization of meetings, conferences and banquets. Reservations are best made directly with hotel administration or through the "Leisure Heritage" Promotion, Information and Reservation Centre.

Inns and Motels
These are located along international roads or important domestic roads. Many of them have a regional flavor because of their appearance and decor; they offer meals and overnight accommodation for travelers.

Youth Hostels
Some of these are open all year round (155) and others only in the summer season (450). Seasonal youth hostels are usually located in school buildings. They are managed by the Polish Society of Youth Hostels (PTSM) which is a member of the International Youth Hostels Federation (IYHF). In Poland, accommodation in youth hostels is available only for the holders of valid IYHF ID's. Bookings can be made directly with hostels.
